We’re going to make a part that is required to stop the swinging force of an entire door out of plastic.
That’s a check strap. It’s what makes your door stop half open or all the way. Chrysler makes them out of a metal band covered in plastic. However when the plastic breaks the strap either A doesn’t work or B pops loud enough every time you open your door that people run over all pissed off that you hit their car. I’m parked 5 feet away, the door is 3 feet wide. *person feeling their door for damage* my door check is broken, see *pops door again and swings it all the way open- still 2 feet from their car* *person still feeling for damage*
This is either my 3rd or 4th one.
